Let's shake it - CSI 91

I have solved Case File No. 91 at CSI for this week.
let's shake it
The five pretty colors of the Scheme have been used.
A couple of clues for the Evidence are the wet medium in coral and black (color mist has been sprayed and splashed along with splashes of black ink), and rings of off-white are marked with acrylic paint and a spray bottle cap. They kind of look like rings left from the glass of the milk shakes J Also, one of the journaling spots is inside a speech bubble.
Inspiration word “enjoy” has been used for journaling the Testimony : “Nov. ’04 – sharing a shake with you is a delicious way to spend this afternoon”

Love - OUAS August

I’ve been inspired by songs lately. “Stubborn Love” by the Lumineers is already an awesome song. But do you ever hear a song, and you know right away that you have the perfect photo for that?!?! I love this photo of my boy, Emilio.
I found the song perfect to scrap him a LO of how love comes into your life and then you have to let go when the time comes. As painful as it may be, we find love and it makes us really happy, but when the time comes, we learn and we move on. (This bit of advice I have journaled on the orange tab to the left of the photo that you can pull out).
Thanks, OUAS, for the theme which could have gone in so many directions. Nevertheless, it helped me to unload a piece of advice to my son. “I will never forget” can apply to so many events in life, and although some of them are sad, we wouldn’t have had it any other way…

it's better to feel pain than nothing at all
the opposite of love's indifference

Johnny's Original - CSI #69

This is my entry for this week at CSI.
My son, Johan, makes awesome pizza and this one is called...

Johnny’s Original
I’ve used all five colors of the scheme. The light gray is on the background paper as well as a banner at the bottom. For the cardboard color I have the wood pieces and the brown tissue under the photo.
For the evidence I have some number accents, circles, metal (brad), and a ledger stamp on the background paper.
There is a circular journaling spot for the testimony as well as the word “extra” in the journaling:
“NO Additional Charge for EXTRA Cheese or LOVE”.

close-ups?

CSI 62 - Brothers

Here's my take on the challenge this week at CSI...
I have fulfilled two Testimony elements by journaling a friendship in a circular journaling spot. There are four Evidence elements with a couple of wood bingo numbers, some ink circles, and some tone-on-tone musical pattern. For the lovely sketch, I have pieced together the grid in the form of puzzle pieces. All the five colors of the palette have been used.

And here is the Case File...

CSI #56 - Happy-ness

My take on this week's file at CSI...
For the Testimony, I have shared 13 "suggestions" for happiness with my baby boy.
INTEGRITY, DISCIPLINE, COMPASSION, COURAGE, FAITH, GENEROSITY, TOLERANCE, LAUGHTER, HUMILITY, FORGIVENESS, HOPE, CURIOSITY, AND CREATIVITY.
(Emilio is already 15, but he's always going to be my baby boy!)

For the Evidence, I have hung the suggestions with string on washi tape trimmed with wacky scissors, and I've also used wet medium with gesso and gel medium and some red ink on plain cardstock for the background.

...a close-up of the sweet stencil job ;)

...and I have used the five colors for the Scheme...

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Forever Young - CSI #54

I solved the case file this week at CSI like this...

For the evidence, I have punched circles out of the plaid paper and dotted them around the layout. I have a few tan tickets and swirls stamped with chamomile acrylic paint.  There's a piece of crumpled music patterned tissue under the photo as well as washi tape with tickets and washi tape with polka dots on it. Part of the foamy title is distress stained with broken china and then stamped with a text pattern. For the mixed media background, there's a bit of gesso ;) There are splashes of blue and black paint and a piece of red corrugated cardboard.

For the testimony, I've used the title of a song by Rod Stewart and I've handwritten the lyrics for my journaling. There are also a few tan tickets around the photos.

I clustered that second small photo in the sketch with the larger one...

...and I've used the colors required in the case file...

This song has been on the radio a lot lately.
And, I'm sorry, but, I've thought that Rod Stewart is sexy since I was ten...
