Sukkersött #71 - Valentine Baileys

What do you do with all those little bottles you get from the airplane?

The challenge at Sukkersött this week is to "Valentine" something.

I've seen some little milk cartons that I've had in mind for these little bottles, but couldn't find a template...

So, I made my own!
Here's my entry.

I did not use the little bottles I had because:

-I didn't have two that matched

-I saw a six-pack of these little Baileys at the grocery store

-The ones from the grocery store are larger bottles AND still fit into my carton!

-(And Baileys is delicious too!)

A Happy Birthday to my big brother Tony today!

Tony loves to cook (and EAT) with his kids. I've made him an Italian Panettone mix in a jar. But I've called it "Panettony"...get it? Panettony?!?! (I know, I don't get out much ;P )

The tag around the jar has the instructions for preparing the panettone. The birthday card and mix are my entry for this week's theme at Sukkersött : Celebration!

Sukkersött - Utfordring #63

Here's an entry for Sukkersött #63
I've decorated a jar for my homemade granola. It's for my sister Sylvia's birthday today. She's become a health nut during the past year or so. I've made her some granola that she can sprinkle on her oatmeal or layer into a parfait with some yogurt and fresh berries! I've used the purple/lilac colors in the spirit of Advent :)

Sukkersött #61 - Hanging Christmas Ornament

My entry for this week's challenge at Sukkersött - a hanging Christmas ornament using at least one stamp.


This ornament was inspired by the lovely Gro. The template is from Martha Stewart.


The solid green and blue panels are watermark stamped with Swirly Background from Stampabilities. The embossing is stamped with Magnolia large and small snowflakes.

SUKKERSÖTT UTFORDRING #55

My entry for Sukkersött's Challenge #55 is based on a 2005 Martha Stewart Craft. My lovely candles were rolling around in a drawer, and this is a great way to store them. Wrap them in tissue and keep them in a paper towel tube...

These are my candles and tube...

And here's my shimmery decorated paper towel tube :)

The most shimmery part of the tube is the flower.

I shimmered a couple of the lines on the patterned paper with Perfect Pearls, but it doesn't photograph well :(

The tube will protect the candles from getting crushed in a drawer. But after wrapping the ribbon around the bottom, I thought I could hang it in the linen closet using one of these hooks from my scraproom... ;)

I made this card for my mother's 74th birthday using a photo of her when she was a little girl. She's holding a bouquet of flowers ; she's also my favorite gardener!
