Give Away Winner - Thank You Peet!
I was the lucky recipient of Peet's WCMD Giveaway. She used Apron Card templates from the Cutting Café and awarded them to this admiring fan. Here's what I made.

SUKKERSÖTT UTFORDRING #55
My entry for Sukkersött's Challenge #55 is based on a 2005 Martha Stewart Craft. My lovely candles were rolling around in a drawer, and this is a great way to store them. Wrap them in tissue and keep them in a paper towel tube...
And here's my shimmery decorated paper towel tube :)
These are my candles and tube...
(Click on the images to enlarge)
And the bottom...
I shimmered a couple of the lines on the patterned paper with Perfect Pearls, but it doesn't photograph well :(
The tube will protect the candles from getting crushed in a drawer. But after wrapping the ribbon around the bottom, I thought I could hang it in the linen closet using one of these hooks from my scraproom... ;)

Award !!!
I have received a lovely surprise from an up-and-coming little star, Ida.
The Circle of Friends Award and the Kreativ Blogger Award is an honor I am pleased to return to her. And, I must also pass it on to the following 5 Hot Mammas :
Oxana for more wonderful bits and pieces I hope to see of her Russian heritage; Peet, whose impeccable stitching and delicious ribbons and bows I envy; Anne Kristine, who scraps by no one's rules but those in her heart; Alina, whose flawless lines of perfection and immaculate flowers I seek to brighten any day; and of course, Kirsten, who shows me that hard work pays off and whose generosity in sharing her 'secret recipes' is always appreciated.

Summer Holiday 2009
I'm back with my family from our vacation in the Mayan Riviera. We were at a wonderful resort in Playa Paraiso in my lovely Mexico. I can't tell everyone enough what a great time we had in such a great place. The kids enjoyed every minute, as well as my parents and sister and two nephews - who accompanied us on this trip. The more the merrier!
Mexico is a place I encourage everyone to visit. I take pride in my native country and the people are so kind and friendly and make sure every aspect of your stay is an excellent experience. Despite the recent scare of the swine flu, they are very optimistic and put aside their frustration at the shortage of work to make sure that your stay is memorable. Please encourage your friends and relatives to help this wonderful country get back on their feet and regain their livelihood. It was sad to see HALF the hotels in the area closing for lack of business. The hotel industry is a major source of income for so many families in this area. With such affordable deals, they would benefit as much as the vacationer. You will not be disappointed.
