CAARDvarks - May Sketch Challenge

There are two sketches to choose from for the May challenge at Caardvarks.
I've made a card for my kids' piano recital tomorrow. It is for their teacher who is leaving the program after 10 years.
We will miss him and we wish him well as he moves on to a new beginning.

How do you organize your ribbon?

I bought this paper rack from a scrapbook store that was closing. Besides the shelves for the paper on the front, I got a bunch of hooks from them in three sizes. The medium hooks are perfect for organizing my ribbon in the back of the rack by color...

And I can take off a hook with the color that I'll need...

StampARTic Sketch Challenge in March

There's a sketch by the charming Marianne for the March challenge at StampARTic.

I was so excited when the fantastic expert and professional, Carola hosted a tutorial on Gesso...in wonderful timing with my Ask the Stamper question about the milky stuff.
Thank you Carola!!!

Although I only used it on one piece of patterned paper (baby steps ;p), it was a great learning experience. I distressed it a little, too! Ooh! As I said in my question to the stamper, I buy many things and often don't know what to do with them. I'm also not the most adventurous scrapper ;)

However, I did make my own flower. There is a great tutorial by the lovely Bev at Whiff of Joy Stamps Tutorials and Inspirations Blog.

I'm really on a roll!
