Spring Fantasies - Stage 2

Hello!

I’m adding this card to Stage 2 of Spring Fantasies.

I found Craft Paper (Herbarium) from ArtHobby to match the color palette perfectly.

I built a shaker and trimmed it a bit.

I want to add Swarovski crystals to EVERYTHING!

The plates to the Sizzix are really scratched and leave marks on the foamiran. Besides replacing the plates, this can be solved by layering three, or four, layers of foamiran at a time.

The foamiran and fabric were lightly brushed with yellow.

These were bathed in “paint water”.

Thanks to my girls at Fantasy for encouraging me to tame the soldering iron. It’s been staring at me cross-eyed for over a year! I tried it out when I bought it, but I gave up quickly, as I was using the wrong fabric. 😒 I managed to use it on foamiran, too.

I used the following Fantasy dies:

Have a great weekend while I tidy up for the next stage.

Thanks for stopping by!

Family Values - Stage 1

 Hi, Everyone!

I’m joining Stage 1 of the Family Values Challenge at the Fantasy Blog.

The team is looking for cards for Men with feminine elements.

There is one die cut flower using
THIS Fantasy die.

FD-457

There are “sprinkles” in silver and copper as well as clear sequins.

I also fussy cut some more flowers and leaves from THIS GentlemanCollection from CraftPaper.

There are a few buttons, one of them paper.

You will find not one, but TWO pieces of lace!

The silhouette with glasses chip is from ScrapBox, as are the sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope to see you for Stage 2.

Hugs,

Nora

VSK Choice of the Month

Hi Everyone!

CraftPaper is the Choice of the Month at the VSK Blog. I’m participating with this card made with the Cherry Orchard Collection.

Who has time for all this fussy cutting?

Actually, we all do right now, and this is what’s helping me get through the days locked up at home.

Remember, Peeps, the secret is a fresh blade, slow and steady. And please be careful and wear protective eye wear. The very tip of the blade has broken off on me, and sometimes it snaps off and bounces. Look out!

The back panel had blossoms on the left, and I wanted to “continue the cascade” of blossoms down the card.

I layered and layered to get a feel of the breeze on the blossoms.

Sweet chippie here from ArtLines.

You still have time to join the Choice of the Month.

I will also add my card to the Fantasy April Gallery.

I’ve used the following dies.

We will all get through this together by helping our healthcare workers doing what we do best. #StayHome

Hugs to everyone!

Spring Awakening

Hello!

I’m joining Stage 1 of the Spring Awakening Challenge at the Charmed Scrap Blog.

I love the arrival of Spring because I’m awakened in the morning by the ruckus of all the birds that have returned to my backyard. For me, Spring also represents a new beginning as well as the “second chance” that we all get to make things right. I also got married during this time of year, and my first born arrived on the 25th.

The Challenge requires two or more of the colors plus a lovely sketch.

I’ve chosen to work with the soft blue and brown because it’s one of my favorite color combinations for cards. The beige and green seemed to sneak their way in, and I was happy with the results.

I fussy cut some flowers and a butterfly from the Native Spaces Collection by CraftPaper. This challenge could have totally been based on that collection.

I had the perfect light blue flower and the three kraft die cuts courtesy of Blagolis
The chip emobossed in light blue and gold is also from Blagolis ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope I made the midnight deadline.

Hugs,
Nora
