I solved the case file this week at CSI like this...
For the evidence, I have punched circles out of the plaid paper and dotted them around the layout. I have a few tan tickets and swirls stamped with chamomile acrylic paint. There's a piece of crumpled music patterned tissue under the photo as well as washi tape with tickets and washi tape with polka dots on it. Part of the foamy title is distress stained with broken china and then stamped with a text pattern. For the mixed media background, there's a bit of gesso ;) There are splashes of blue and black paint and a piece of red corrugated cardboard.
For the testimony, I've used the title of a song by Rod Stewart and I've handwritten the lyrics for my journaling. There are also a few tan tickets around the photos.
I clustered that second small photo in the sketch with the larger one...
...and I've used the colors required in the case file...
This song has been on the radio a lot lately.
And, I'm sorry, but, I've thought that Rod Stewart is sexy since I was ten...

ReplyDeletewow Nora this is fabulous, a beautiful page with magical details ... in answer to your question re the white edges yes it is distressed very lightly with an emery nail file .. Megs papers are slightly shiny on the surface and it is magnificent for sanding . it gives quite a different effect to any other paper ... hope this helps you , hugz x
