Spring Flowers

Hi, Everyone!

I hope you’re all hanging in there with me in your own scrap rooms.

Here’s my Spring Card for today.

I’ve prepped some floral chip with a coat of gesso. I made a couple of grassy marks on the stems of these crocuses, and then I spread the ink with the same dabber I used for coloring the fence. The colors blended nicely.

I’m entering this card in the Scrapek Challenge using these two lovely chips.

I die cut the FENCE from a piece of white wood textured paper.

I layered it with two more layers of white cardstock to make it a bit thicker. And I will add my card to the Spring Cards Challenge at Scrapman requiring a house or a FENCE.

I have also used these lovely dies from ScrapMan.

Knife Florish-11 (Curls) from ScrapMan from the store ScrapMan.ru
FL-20

Cutting knife "Set of curls" ScrapMan from the store ScrapMan.ru

I’m also adding my card to the ScrapClub-Ek Challenge, On theWings of Spring requiring three or more butterflies. My card has FOUR!

I wouldn’t have done this card without this beautiful Tulip TimeCollection from ScrapMania. I cut the scene outside the window from here. i will also add my card to the March Gallery there.

The two big flowers are also made from this collection using these AgiArt dies. I will also add my card to the March Gallery there.

I have finished it off with some white paint splashes, sparkles, and some more of my tiny foamiran flowers from HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please stay inside so that we may all get through this in one piece.

Spring Awakening Stage 3

Hello!

Finally using the Spring Flowers that I made HERE and HERE.

And that’s the Challenge at the LadyBug Blog

Chip and die cutting are required, as well as 5 or more flowers/colors.

I used these dies:

And, yes, even the flower of a Christmas Poinsettia was used to make the "leaves".

But that’s just part of my versatile collection from LadyBug. The lovely bird chip is from Art Lines, and the papers are from MoNa Design.

AND Stage 3 of the Spring Awakening Challenge at the CharmedBlog is the Radiant Sun.

It requires a color palette and a sketch again.

I started out with the green and blue (two background panels), and then introduced the brown (doily die cut and horizontal ribbon) and yellow (butterfly and berries).

The days are becoming much brighter, and my daughter's birhtday is also in March. This card is for her. She’s the light of my life!

I went with the center column of the Three out of Nine Challenge at the Yar-Sk Blog.
(insect, die cutting, green)

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Awakening Stage 2

Here’s my Shaker Card. This is for my mother, of course. She just turned 85, and she can’t wait to get out to her garden where she is the happiest.

There's a sketch to follow for this challenge. And I chose to work with the blue (doily), green (background), and mustard colors (Shaker frame) from the palette provided.

I knew, for my mother, I would have to start with the “MyGardening” Collection from BeeShabby.

I fussy cut a few items, but the sweet part was the Shaker items. I used the gold printed film from the same collection for the “window”. The inside panel of the Shaker is cut from a sheet in the same collection.

I've represented the "drops" with a few dew drops and the beads in the Shaker.

Topped it off with a few of my tiny flowers made with a set of LadyBug dies.

Thanks for stopping by.
See you next week!

Spring Awakening

Hello!

I’m joining Stage 1 of the Spring Awakening Challenge at the Charmed Scrap Blog.

I love the arrival of Spring because I’m awakened in the morning by the ruckus of all the birds that have returned to my backyard. For me, Spring also represents a new beginning as well as the “second chance” that we all get to make things right. I also got married during this time of year, and my first born arrived on the 25th.

The Challenge requires two or more of the colors plus a lovely sketch.

I’ve chosen to work with the soft blue and brown because it’s one of my favorite color combinations for cards. The beige and green seemed to sneak their way in, and I was happy with the results.

I fussy cut some flowers and a butterfly from the Native Spaces Collection by CraftPaper. This challenge could have totally been based on that collection.

I had the perfect light blue flower and the three kraft die cuts courtesy of Blagolis
The chip emobossed in light blue and gold is also from Blagolis ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope I made the midnight deadline.

Hugs,
Nora
